Priorities

The Psalms and Proverbs are my two favorites. Through each psalm, the Spirit beacons to hold my heart while tenderly drawing out that which I do not yet entrust to Him. My head, on the other hand, grabs those Proverbs and slaps them up as rules.

Each one is good. For me, however, a balance of the two is best.

Lately, blogging has started to crowd out my morning study and I could see the effects in many other areas of my life. So, a blogging break needed to happen. Eric leaves around 5 am and I spend the next hour or so in His word. Seeing how He honors my time with Him is quite amazing. I actually enjoy cleaning the house now! And the extra time I have - all of a sudden!! Where were those minutes/hours before? When you feel rushed, stressed, or strung-out, seek Him. You will find Him. I promise.

To where does the Spirit lead when you search His written Word?

In is a case of prioritizing - posting a blog should be the least important - real life should always come first.

It is good to see a post from you now and again though

Paula having time to spend alone with your devotions is so important for mind and spirit! It makes all things right in this hurried world of ours! I love time alone to think and having my cats at my side and all of nature scurrying around my garden..I thank the almighty Father.I witness his wonderful gifts to me and I surely appreciate them.
I want to wish you a blessed Thanksgiving hugs NG xo

My morning time with the Lord gets more special each day. I find myself lingering over His Word, or reading one of John G. Lakes sermons, or a chapter out of Billye Brim's book, The Blood and the Glory. The time flies by, doesn't it???

We all need our quiet times and times alone with the Lord. What ever gets in the way and becomes more important is a hinderence. It could be blogging, friends or family, what ever.
I agree that balance is the key word.
Pop into Blogdom when you feel like it. I love hearing about your house progress and what's happening in your life. I will continue to take a peek here to see if there is something new.
Until then,
Sue
