Since going back to work, Eric has taken over most of the cooking. He gets home earlier, enjoys cooking, and (as you'll see) is more creative with leftovers*. The other day I came home to a four-course meal prepared by my husband.
Pepper Jack cheese cubes*, olives*, crackers*, glass of wine
(Notice the lit candle?)

Salad with mixed greens, strawberries, goat cheese, pecans/walnuts* & macadamia nuts* drizzled with a raspberry oil & vinegar dressing
BBQ riblets*, chicken gnocchi*, fried okra, & bread stick*
Fourth course...
S'more Pie
Oreo cookie crust with layers of marshmallow, chocolate syrup, & chocolate chunks then broiled in the oven to burn the top
(everyone burns their marshmallows, right?)

Is there such a thing as being too blessed? Hmmm...nope - don't think so!!
PS - The S'more Pie came straight from the pages of Bon Appetit magazine.
PPS - We have no clue (nor do we care) about the calories, fat grams, preservatives, etc, etc, etc.

I came to tell you the answer to the question you asked on my blog on the "About Abraham Lincoln" picture.
I left an answer back there on the blog but didn't know if you would return and read it so I came here and it is below.
I took two identical pictures and blurred one. I took another and put it on top but not blurred. Then I simply erased all of it except me. I did it in Photoshop but could have done it in other programs. Like one layer on top of another.
I admired your photography and writing on this post that you have here today. Nice work. It all looks good enough to eat too.
!! WOW !!
What a blessing! A wonderful husband that cooks, sets a lovely table and makes a fantastic dessert!! I will have to make sure William reads this post. LOL
That is a blessing. Everything looks good!!!
You are blesse Paula. I am so uninspired about cooking. Hubby isn't wild about it either. We do manage to eat and still gain weight anyway. LOL
That pie sure looks wonderful!
I have to say... there is nothing sexier than a man who has such a meal awaiting his princess at the turn of her day. My hubby did that once for our anniversary and it is a memory I cherish and ask for again over and over.
What a wonderful blessing! The meal looks so delicious and I'm sure you all had a great time together!!

Wow, what a wonderful meal. That is the same kind of food my husband would fix for me. We do have a lot in common!
I had a couple of minutes and thought I'd read some of your posts. You have done a wonderful job on your patio. That's a lot of work, and it turned out beautifully.
Thanks for visiting me. Hugs, Kathi
