OK. So this timber did not come from Lebanon; however, it is a nice start to our wood supply. All traces of snow have disappeared as this photo was taken in December. These three stacks represent approximately half of our current supply. The pile in the middle (the shortest one) represents our minimal amount of cured wood, so we're not able to use the fireplace as our single source of heat, yet. Next winter will be a different story, though.
Having the fireplace really makes our house feel like a home. There's nothing like curling up under a blanket with Hubby and watching a movie with the fire going. So romantic! See our fireplace here.

Wow that looks like an awful lot of fuel but I guess it doesn't last long if you are using it to heat the whole house. The firplace sure looks nice. Thanks for stopping by Willow House, it is nice to meet you.

Next time try walking up close to the firewood, squat down and snap a pic super close...I think you will be amazed at the image you get of all the ends of the firewood...all those circles!!! :) Tell me if you try it...I would love to see it. I would love to do it here but we don't have a fireplace in our flat! :(

I was going to suggest you took a close-up photo of your woodpile, but see anna has beaten me to it. We used to have a logburner in our last cottage but sadly we can't use the fireplace in this house without some serious work being done to it first.
