Scrap Lumber

"Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood..." Genesis 6:14a
1. No, we're not building an ark.
2. I'm pretty sure it's not gopher wood.

We are, in fact, building shelters for the soon-to-be newest members of our family: goats! Eric has been researching different breeds and has decided on Kinders. They are good for meat and milk. For starters, we'll have one buck and two does. The kids will follow!

This photo shows a pallet from the flagstone and the pieces of an old play fort our neighbor disassembled. Stay tuned for photos of the finished product.

You and your hubby are quite the pioneers. Will the goats be for your own use or are you breeding to sell?
Nice to have neighbors who will share their things with you.
Thanks for your nice comments on my last posts. You were most kind.

Goats! I have a dream to own a home way out in the country and have *1 goat who will do the lawn mowing for me...It would be my pet but that's just the way nature-girl feels about her animals. Looking forward to seeing your ~newest members of the family!~

Thank you Paula for your kinds words of comfort in my recent posts! Meant a lot to me! hugs NG and ~the girls~
